Claire Hua works between digital and traditional media.

Her worlds contain playful whimsy with an undercurrent of eeriness, creating visual tension and color relationships that subvert normality and invite viewers to recall their youth from an adult perspective.

She builds immersive stories inhabited by curious characters whose gestures and expressions speak for themselves. Her work is shaped by literature: myths, poems, and folktales. Her ideas stem from fashion, nature, anthropomorphic beings, and unusual textures. she is committed to play and uncovering novelties hidden in plain sight.
